Subject Selection Day
Last week Year 10 students going into Year 11 in 2024 were able to attend an information evening with their families, and a specific day was held to provide the best advice possible as they make decisions between VCE and VCE Vocational Major, VET subjects, acceleration, and School Based Apprenticeships. It was a great night, and I thank the presenters, Mrs Louise Amor, Mr Liam Offer, Mr Dean Berger, Mr Heath Schulz, Mr Lyndon Kuhne and Mr Russell Brown.
This week Year 10 Students will attend a stand-alone Subject Selection Day, as they make decisions regarding senior school pathways. Students currently in Years 7, 8, 9 and 11 will attend a Subject Selection Day on the 14th of August. Both of these days provide students and families with the information needed to determine which subjects will assist student engagement and support their interests and pathways, and showcases the large range of opportunities the College provides.
If you are unable to attend the days, please ensure that you contact a member of your year level team to organise another time as soon as possible.
2025 Staff
Horsham College will have a number of positions available for 2025, as we continue our commitment to providing a wide range of subjects, in particular at VCE. If you know of anyone who may be interested in a discussion about positions please ask them to contact me via our school administration.
Uniform
A reminder again of the need for all students to follow the College Council’s uniform policy.
I have asked the year level teams to have a particular focus on the wearing of hoodies under polo shirts and jackets, and also on shoes. The College takes a supportive approach with uniform but repeat offenders will be provided with consequences. Please reach out to year level teams if the uniform is an issue so that we can support students.
