Term 2 Pathways Program
Southern Catholic Schools Careers Expo - Thursday 22 May
The Southern Catholic College Careers Expo was an opportunity for Southern Catholic students in Years 9 –12 to explore a wide range of industries, training pathways, and future career options— all under one roof at MAC 02.
With interactive exhibits and the chance to speak directly with professionals from fields including technology, healthcare, hospitality, trades, and more, the Expo sparked curiosity and helped students imagine life beyond school. Whether they’re just beginning to explore their interests or preparing to make subject and pathway decisions, the event was a valuable step in their career journey.
While the Expo is just for our students, we encourage parents and carers to talk with their child about their visit today to the event to help them reflect on what they learned.
Today Mount Carmel College Year 9 and 10 students were lucky enough to attend the Southern Tasmania Catholic Schools' Career expo. With a variety of future pathways on offer, students were able to gain an understanding of the direction they may decide to go. Many exciting opportunities were available for all students who either had some idea of their pathway or were only just discovering where their interests could take them. I found this experience very informative, including listening to many inspirational stories and advice. The expo has provided me with "food for thought" when considering my career choices.
