Staff Panning Day

Student Free Day - Friday 6 June

All College services, including OSHC (Outside School Hours Care) and the ELC (Early Learning Centre) will be closed on Friday 6 June to allow our staff to participate in the whole College planning and professional development day.

Our OSHC and ELC teams play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education and this dedicated professional development day will allow these staff members to:

  • Be involved in whole school meeting and training sessions

  • Enhance their knowledge and skills in early childhood education and care practices

  • Collaborate on curriculum planning and programming for the upcoming terms

  • Participate in training on the latest educational frameworks and approaches

  • Engage in team-building activities that strengthen our cohesive approach to supporting your children

By investing in our staff's professional growth, we can ensure we continue to deliver the exceptional care and learning experiences you expect and your children deserve.

We understand this closure may cause inconvenience for families who rely on our services, and we sincerely apologise for any difficulties this may create. We encourage you to make alternative care arrangements for Friday, 6 June, 2025.

All regular OSHC and ELC services will resume as normal on Tuesday 10 June after the King's Birthday Public Holiday. Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this closure, please don't hesitate to contact the College.

Enrolment Withdrawals from Mount Carmel College

A reminder to families that if they wish to withdraw their child(ren) from Mount Carmel College they are required to give ten (10) school weeks notice. This does not include school holiday weeks. Families must provide the College with written notice of their decision to cancel their child's/children's enrolment.

Where notice of ten school weeks is not provided, full tuition fees may need to be paid to the College for the number of school weeks where notice was not provided. This includes withdrawal prior to the start of the school year.

For more information, please contact enrol@mountcarmel.tas.edu.au or the College Office on 6216 7900.
