Principal's Message

From the Desk of Kathy Nott - Term 2, Week 5

Good afternoon, Parents/Carers,

We are midway through Term 2 already.   Our students are settled and learning which is always great to see.

National Reconciliation Week

This week we observe National Reconciliation Week.  The National Reconciliation Week (NRW) 2025 theme, Bridging Now to Next, reflects the ongoing connection between past, present and future.  Bridging Now to Next calls on all Australians to step forward together, to look ahead and continue the push forward as past lessons guide us.

School Assembly

It was great to again to welcome our parents/carers and community into our school for our assembly last Friday.  Congratulations to 2/3O on your wonderful performance with the important message of being waterwise.  Thank you to Louise from the Warrumbungle National Park Environmental Education Centre for your work in teaching our students about water conservation.

Illnesses at School

As we are heading into the cold and flu season the potential of illness rises.  Please ensure that if your child is suffering any cold and flu or gastro symptoms please keep them at home until they are symptom free.  We ask that those suffering vomiting and/or diarrhea observe the 48-hour symptom free rule before returning to school.  This ensures that we keep our students and staff safe from contagious illnesses.

PSSA Soccer Trials Girls

Good Luck to Emily and Lillian who are competing for a spot on the NENW team at the PSSA Soccer Trials today in very tough conditions.   Thank you to the PSSA for organising a change in venue to ensure our students can participate.

PSSA Soccer Trials Boys

It is the boys turn tomorrow, and we wish Ashton, Dominic, Jackson, Lachy and Lebron all the best as they compete for a spot on the NENW team.  The boys will now be playing at the Tamworth Hockey Centre, Jack Smyth Drive, Tamworth.  Please ensure that you wear joggers and not football boots as football boots cannot be worn on the synthetic fields.  All other details remain the same.

PSSA Quirindi Zone Cross Country

Good luck to those students who will be competing at the PSSA Quirindi Zone Cross Country this Friday, 30th May at Quirindi Racecourse.
