Prep Assembly

This morning, we gathered for a very special Prep Assembly to celebrate a wonderful milestone—over 50 days of school! The assembly was a joyful occasion attended by Prep families, siblings, and our Year 6 students, who joined in as supportive buddies. The event was not only a celebration of time spent learning and growing, but also a showcase of the Preps' incredible work on their Inquiry Unit: Identity.

Throughout the term, our Prep students have been exploring the concept of identity by reflecting on their personal journeys—who they are, where they come from, and what makes them unique. They also delved into the similarities and differences they share with others, helping them to build empathy and a deeper sense of belonging within their learning community. This morning, they confidently shared their learning through songs, storytelling, and visual displays, expressing their developing understanding of themselves and the world around them.

The assembly was a heartwarming celebration of each student’s individuality and growth. It also highlighted the strength of the buddy program, as our Year 6 students proudly supported their Prep peers and joined in the celebration. It was a wonderful reminder of the connections we build at school and the importance of creating a safe and inclusive space for all learners.

We are so proud of our Preps and look forward to seeing how their understanding of identity continues to grow throughout the year.
