Science

Level 5/6
Level 56 students have continued to work on their electronics inquiry project this week. Some students have begun recording their project and finding interesting ways to represent their information including through Canva presentations, video presentations, posters and physical demonstrations. Student will continue to record and communicate their work next week in science.
Level 3/4
Level 34 students began making their ultimate rockets in science this week. Students are bringing together all they learned this term of rocket design, drag, gravity, aerodynamics and how to safely deliver a payload after launch. Next week students will launch their ultimate rockets and see how their designs affect the rocket and its success.
Level 2
Level 2 students have begun building their final Rube Goldberg designs for physics. This week students put their plans into action, including many wild and interesting machine inventions. some students brought items from home to add to their designs which also resulted in creative and unique machine designs.
Level 1
Level 1 students have built musical instruments and have been practicing their music as a band. Next week students will be making a music video which will be added to Snapper for those with their child's portfolio QR codes (don't worry if you have returned your portfolio, these videos will be there all year). Students designed their instruments to include striking, blowing, scraping, and shaking. Instruments will go home with students next week after science.
Prep
Prep students have been creating home-made toys in science. There were many creations that have sparked excitement and curiosity including spinning tops (they actually spin!), a jetpack (featured to the left), space ships, cars, dolls, and many many more.
Until next time, remember to act like a proton and stay positive!
