🌟 Joyful June 🌟
With the cooler weather setting in, it’s the perfect time to warm our hearts with positive emotions and moments of connection. Joy doesn’t always come from grand celebrations—sometimes, it’s found in the smallest, simplest things: a kind smile, a favourite song, or a moment of stillness.
As a school community, we encourage you to bring joy to yourself and those around you by pausing, noticing, and appreciating the everyday wonders in their lives. Whether it’s taking a deep breath of fresh air in the morning, noticing the way the sun shines through the trees, or saying thank you to a friend, these mindful moments help us build a habit of positivity.
We encourage families to create a family or personalised "Joy for June Playlist"—a mix of songs that reflect a range of positive emotions. From calming and peaceful tunes to upbeat, joyful anthems, music can be a powerful way to lift our spirits and set the tone for the day.
Here are some Joy for June ideas you can try at home:
- 🌼 Pause for joy: Take a few moments each day to stop, breathe and name something you are grateful for.
- 🎶 Make your own family joy playlist: Choose songs together that make you feel happy, calm or inspired.
- 💬 Share appreciation: Encourage each family member to say something kind or positive to someone each day.
- 🌈 Joy jar: Write down joyful moments on slips of paper and place them in a jar. Read them together at the end of the month!
Let’s fill our classrooms, homes, and hearts with moments of joy, appreciation, and connection this June. Below is the Action For Happiness Joyful June calendar if you would like to follow along on an action per day of the month.
Here’s to a joyful month ahead!
Triple P (Positive Parenting program) Parenting
As we all navigate our way through parenting, we all are challenged with different topics or situations that pop up and we are either unsure what to do, unsure where to go to receive support, or embarrassed that we don't know the answers and bumble our way through hoping we, and our children, will pop out the other side with a positive result and outlook.
However, there is a way to seek support and get some suggestions in your own time and own space (as its online), and it's free!! Check out Triple P Parenting.
With support from the Triple P – Positive Parenting Program, you can lay the groundwork for a bright future. Help them go from chaos to captain with parenting strategies that really work!
- Build skills they’ll need for life, like getting along with others, managing emotions, and becoming more independent.
- Learn simple, proven strategies to improve behaviour and feel calmer.
- Confidently create the best environment for your child’s development.
- Grow closer, build a stronger bond and help them grow up happy, capable and resilient.
