✈️ I-Create Aviation Students Take Flight – 14 May 2025 🛫

On 14 May 2025, students from Westall Secondary College’s I-Create Aviation program participated in an exciting and educational excursion that brought their learning to life.

The day began at iFLY Melbourne, where students experienced indoor skydiving and explored the principles of flight firsthand. Concepts such as lift, gravity, thrust, and drag became much clearer as they felt the forces acting on their bodies in the wind tunnel.

In the afternoon, the group visited Tullamarine Airport for a plane spotting session. Students observed various aircraft, discussed take-off and landing patterns, and applied their classroom knowledge to real-world aviation scenarios.

The excursion was a valuable opportunity for students to deepen their understanding of the physics behind flying while enjoying a hands-on learning experience.

Winter Wonderland Day – A Celebration of Wellbeing and School Pride at Westall

On Wednesday, 4th June, Westall came alive with joy and community spirit during the much-anticipated Winter Wonderland Day, held at lunchtime under the vibrant Breakfast Club area. This special event is dedicated to celebrating student wellbeing, positivity, and school pride — offering a safe and welcoming space for all students to relax, connect, and have fun.

The Breakfast Club space was transformed into a lively, colorful Winter Wonderland, that created a perfect atmosphere for the day. Students enjoyed delicious carnival-style treats served by iCreate – Master the Westall Cafe, and sweet delights from a visiting ice cream van.

Winter Wonderland Day was more than just fun and food. It gave students the opportunity to step outside their comfort zones, foster kindness, and embrace positive attitudes towards school and one another. Through teamwork and shared experiences, the event strengthened the bonds within our school community.

As a key student-led initiative, Winter Wonderland Day reflected Westall’s ongoing commitment to nurturing wellbeing, honouring our school spirit, and building a connected community.

Thank you to all students, staff, and families for your support. Together, we created lasting memories and celebrated the pride that makes Westall a special place to learn and grow.
