Empowering Our Students: Adair Donaldson Presentation – Tuesday 15 July 2025
We are committed to ensuring our students have the knowledge and skills to make safe, respectful, and informed decisions as they navigate high school and beyond.
Day 2 of Term 3, on Tuesday 15 July, we are pleased to welcome Adair Donaldson back —an acclaimed legal educator and speaker—to The Gap SHS to speak to Years 8, 9, 11 and 12 and our Parent community. Adair’s presentations are engaging and age-appropriate, covering crucial topics such as social media use, consent, legal consequences of behaviour, underage parties and alcohol, racism, and harassment.

Information surrounding the Parent Session will be shared shortly.
All sessions start and finish with trigger warnings and where to go for help. Adair firmly believes that preventing all young people from making poor decisions is not realistic, but it is possible to ensure that they understand what the consequences will be.
Why is this important?
Today’s young people face a rapidly changing world, both online and offline. Understanding the legal and social impacts of their choices is essential for their safety, wellbeing, and future opportunities. By providing practical advice and real-world scenarios, Adair helps students develop the awareness and confidence to make positive decisions and treat others with respect.
These sessions are part of our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing and personal development, empowering students to become responsible and informed members of our school and wider community. We extend gratitude to the P&C for their support of this initiative.
