Special Message

Farewell Sue
For over a decade, Sue has been more than just a friendly face behind the counter. She’s been a constant source of comfort, a dispenser of delicious lunches, and a quiet champion for countless children passing through these school gates. Think about all those lunch breaks, all those recess snacks –Sue has been there, serving up smiles along with every sandwich and every TNT.
She’s seen generations of students grow, from their first nervous days in Kindergarten to their confident final years. She’s probably seen more loose teeth and scraped knees than we can count, and always with a kind word or a reassuring smile. She’s learned countless names, remembered favourite orders, and often knew exactly what a child needed before they even asked. That kind of dedication, that kind of care, is truly rare and something we’ve all come to deeply appreciate.
Her commitment to our school community goes beyond just serving food. She’s been a quiet support system, a watchful eye, and a warm presence that has made our canteen a welcoming place for everyone. The delicious smells wafting from the canteen, the perfectly toasted sandwiches, the healthy options she always ensured were available – these are all part of her legacy.
Sue, as you embark on this new chapter, please know that you leave behind a lasting impact on this school and on the lives of so many children. We will miss your humour, your dedication, and your incredible ability to keep all of us well-fed and happy.
On behalf of the entire school community – the staff, the parents, and especially all the children you’ve cared for – we want to extend our deepest gratitude for your 13 years of exceptional service. We wish you all the very best for a happy, healthy, and well-deserved retirement.
Thank you, Sue! You’ll always be a cherished part of our school’s story.
A Message From Sue
A Big Thank You!
I would like to thank the helpers in the Canteen over the years: the mums, dads, grandparents, and the special ones who don’t have anyone at school, the ones who fill in at short notice, the ones who "rock up" on their day off. I can't express how much I appreciate your help, support, and wonderful friendship. The Canteen would not have been able to operate without you.
To the Year 6 helpers, past and present, I can't thank you enough for the wonderful job you have done to help me keep the canteen running smoothly.
To the children, I will miss all your cheeky, beautiful smiles, your "hello" and "how are you today?"
The school is blessed with a wonderful community. My job has always been made easier by the kind, caring people around me.
Thank you for the wonderful memories.
Susan Strachan
