P.E. Week

This term started with P.E. Week, where we incorporated a range of activities to get students active and outside. Every recess we held a ‘Just Dance’ in the Mall where many students participated showing off their dance moves while encouraging their friends to join in.

At lunch time, activities were offered including Spike Ball, Half-Court Shot, Longest AFL Kick, Cross Bar Challenge and many more. Lots of involvement was seen throughout all year levels which was great to see.

Later in the week, the annual Staff vs Students Volleyball and Netball games were played.

The staff unfortunately thrashed the students in Volleyball in straight sets. However, the students made their comeback in the Netball winning by one goal which happened to go into two minutes of extra time.

We also sold Zooper Doopers to raise money to support the Heart Foundation Organisation. This money will go towards people with heart disease and those who need extra health care.

Overall, it was a successful week and as Sport Captains we are stoked with all student willingness, participation, and involvement throughout P.E. Week. Thanks to all those who helped out and made this P.E. Week possible.

Spike it! Volleyball Tournament

Our third annual Spike it! Volleyball Tournament was held after school on Friday of P.E. Week, Week 1, Term 4. A record number of 17 teams and 76 students participated in the social, friendly event, which allows students of all abilities to practice Volleyball in a supportive environment. Eight courts were in action, some in the Gym and some outside in the Eastern Yard. Each team played six or more matches, and then the top two teams in each division battled it out in the Grand Final.

A Year 12 Girls team (Molly, Kloe, Isabella and Shannon) won the Senior Girls Division. A Year 7/8 Girls team (Ann, Yu-Julia, Sarina, Eva and An) won the Middle Girls Division. A Year 12 Boys team (Khang, Kevin, Diezel and Mason) won the Senior Boys division for the 3rd year in a row. A Year 7/8 Boys team (Khoa, Sam, Biak and Danny) won the Middle Boys Division for the second year in a row.

A big thanks to the P.E. staff for supporting this event, including our new P.E. Support Officer Lachlan Williams for his organisation and administrative support. The P.E. staff cooked up a tasty barbeque dinner for all to eat at the end of the evening. If you missed out this year, keep a lookout for next year’s Spike it! Volleyball Tournament.

  • The diverse roles beyond players, roles from coaches, shoutcasters, and marketing, showcase the broad spectrum of opportunities.
  • The academic links to Esports integrate some of the academic subjects like math and psychology, nurturing valuable life skills as well as STEAM subject areas.
  • The Career Path for various careers in Esports, from pro players to game developers.

Thank you to our inquisitive students for your engagement and insightful questions.

Thank you to James Pham, a former student whose success from Esports at school has allowed him to transfer the skills learned to his engineering and computer science degree.

Thank you to our industry host Anju De Alwis the Managing Director of Ultimate Access Education in the UAE, for her commitment to merging education and innovation to support us through this process.

Bumper Reunion

Last weekend, Saturday 21 October, we welcomed 36 old scholars and partners from the 2003 and 2013 cohorts back to the College. We were thrilled with the turn out, made even more impressive as the Class of 2003 was made up of just 24 students.

Our alumni were keen to reconnect and see firsthand the progression and expansion of the College. The College has come an extraordinarily long way since these cohorts graced the corridors, with many blown away with current facilities and learning spaces.

The Class of 2003 remember a College in progression with the Round Building once accommodating every subject area, to the excitement when the Mall first opened, equipped with vending machines and indoor trees!

The Class of 2013 remember a College with a vision, with plans already underway to cater for and welcome Year 7s to the fold just a mere three years later. These were just plans communicated in 2013, now these buildings and learning spaces are utilised frequently.

It was such a blessing to reconnect with our old scholars, recall memories and reminisce about Endeavour's humble beginnings.
