Buninyong PS, Take a Bow! You are Amazing.

Footy Colours Day - Mphatso Fundraiser Update

Wow! We are really excited to share with you all that our Footy Colours Day Fundraiser, the “Buninyong Cup”, raised $1196.30 for Mphatso!

The sheer number of coins actually meant that the bank’s coin counting machine struggled to cope and we are completely blown away by the generosity of our school community.

$1196.30 would provide 23,926 bowls of porridge to the children who are part of the feeding program at Mphatso - and often the bowl of porridge would be their only food for the day.

$1500 (which we are pretty close to) covers the cost of running one nursery school for the year.

This is an incredible contribution that will be gratefully received by the Mphatso Children’s Foundation. It is also very timely, as things are really difficult in Malawi at the moment and the organisation is battling to keep all of their programs fully operational. This will really help make a difference!

Thank you Buninyong PS!

Bunjil Student Awards

Congratulations to the following students who received a Bunjil Award at last week’s P-2  assembly.

Bunjil awards recognise student achievement and those who display our school values of being respectful, responsible and kind.

Well done! All of our weekly winners enjoy a hot chocolate with a principal.

ROCTOBER

ROCtober is in its final week! This is the last chance for students to earn raffle tickets through demonstrating the school values and leading the way with behaviour.

Early next week, two students from each class will be drawn out, and these students will be invited to attend the movies in mid November with the other students from across the school.

All classes are currently voting on their preferred movie option!

ROCtober serves as a fun and motivating way to reinforce our school values and build a sense of unity within our school community. It is also designed to encourage, promote and recognise positive behaviour across the school and is linked to our School Wide Positive Behaviour (SWPB) model.

We encourage all students to embrace this opportunity to shine and exemplify the qualities that make Buninyong  Primary School such a wonderful place to learn and grow.

Lost Property

Over the past couple of months several items of value have been handed into the office and have not been claimed.

If you are missing something and can describe it to the office staff we will happily return it to you.
