Dear Parents and Carers

 

Some Year 7 Students are due for their Year 7 Immunisation. A card will be sent home for families to complete and return to the school by 5th February 2024.

 

If you do not wish for your child to be immunised at school or your child has had their vaccinations elsewhere, please indicate this in the box provided on the card.

 

School Immunisation Program

Council's Environmental Health Service Unit conducts annual visits to all secondary schools within the municipality to administer the following vaccinations:

  • Human papillomavirus (HPV) is now one single injection in the upper arm
  • Diptheria-tetanus-whooping cough (a single injection)

The dose schedule for the HPV vaccine has changed from 2 doses to a single dose.

It's been indicated that the transmission of COVID-19 is increasing across Victoria. During this time, it is especially important that we are aware of lowering the risk of transmission, especially to those at greatest risk of the severe consequences of COVID-19.

 

Jackson School families can access free rapid antigen test (RAT) and masks, which can be collected from reception.
