Narrabri Shire Council ~ Boggabri Flood Risk Management Strategy

The Boggabri Flood Risk Management Study is now on public exhibition, and based on community feedback and flood investigations, recommendations have been made to mitigate and manage the flood risks.

We would like to acknowledge that Boggabri faces a comparatively lower flood risk than neighbouring towns and villages. Nevertheless, any potential risk of flooding demands careful mitigation and management.

Considering this, we are eager to hear from the community regarding the proposed flood mitigation measures aimed at reducing flood damage and risk. Your insights and perspectives are crucial in making sure that the suggested measures accurately reflect the needs and concerns of the Boggabri community.

The link to the study and recommendations can be found here.

A direct link to the survey can be found here.

The draft Boggabri Flood Risk Management Study and Plan can be viewed online, at the Boggabri Library, or the Council chambers. Paper copies of the questionnaire are also available at the library.

Two Community Information Sessions will be held at the HACC - 130 Merton Street Boggabri on Wednesday 15th November.

Light refreshments will be supplied by the HACC. For catering purposes, can we please ask that you RSVP by either registering online or calling Council on 02 6799 6866.
