Just a reminder that this coming Monday is a student free day. We look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Wednesday for a super short week - and the last few days to get ready for fete!
The countdown to fete is well and truly on: we are only nine days away, and final preparations are currently taking place! Thank you to so many members of the community who have been working around the clock, getting everything ready for Sunday 12th November.
As you can see, we’ve also had some students helping us get ready!
A reminder that you can still donate wine, chocolate and cans of soft drink up until next Friday. If you have any donations, please leave them with Emily at the front office.
We are still looking for volunteers to cover shifts for the various stalls at the fete. Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered their time. The volunteer roster can be found here.
A reminder that there will be a working bee this Thursday afterschool to help with preparations, for anyone who can come along. The working bee roster can be found here.
Based on our current conservative projected student numbers for 2024, the Fitzroy North Primary class structure will remain unchanged next year. This means we will continue to have straight Prep, Grade 5 and Grade 6 classes, with multi-age classes in Grade 1/2 and Grade 3/4. We are planning for 17 classes across the school, based on the current projections of students.
A huge congratulations to Tom C (6TR) who went along to the State Athletics Championship on Wednesday this week to represent the school. Tom finished 10th in the 100m final - well done on this outstanding performance!
I hope everyone has a relaxing cup weekend. We’ll see you back at school on Wednesday.
