Foundation

Foundation students have been introduced to coding. They have used several applications (apps) in the past few weeks which are not only engaging but lots of fun. Students have been building on their skills with many apps focussing on simple sequences, loops, functions and debugging.

Year 2 and Year 3

Students have been using their ‘student voices’ to think about what they would like to see in their new playground for 2024. Students have designed playgrounds and shared with the class what is the one piece of equipment they would most look forward to playing on next year when the new Year ¾ playground equipment arrives. Designing the new equipment allows them to have some input in the decision-making processes of the school. Designs across the Year 2 and 3 classes involved the inclusion of some sort of tree/cubby house, climbing walls and longer/higher and curvier slides!

Year 6

Students have designed marble mazes over the past few weeks in preparation for their end of year project which involves constructing an arcade game made from cardboard. Students used very basic materials for their mazes, a paper plate, tape, straws, and a marble. The younger students look forward to testing out the mazes!
