Caring Learning Growing: Every Child Every Day

Dear Families,

Mother Theresa said, 'Love begins at home, and it is not how much we do, but how much love we put in the action that we do.'

Our Mission Day today is an opportunity for our children to act within their community to raise money to assist others. Any money raised today will be allocated to a local project selected by our student Pastoral team.

The excitement in the school this week has been beautiful to watch. While families gather on Mission Day to join us, they don't have the opportunity to see everything happening in planning for today. Children take time to plan their activities, and they work in groups where they have to practise the skills of negotiating, actively listening, organisational skills and many more.  I have loved watching them put their posters up around the school advertising their activities for the day.

Thank you, as always, for your support of this fun-filled day.

Today is the day that Australia celebrates World Teacher Day.

I feel extraordinarily privileged to work with such a dedicated group of educators. By educators, I mean teachers, learning support staff and our admin staff. At any moment of any day, each one of these adults offers their support to your children. We call these teachable moments and capture everything we can to grow your children to be the best they can be.

Even after more than 30 years as an educator, it is still the best job ever.

I hope you get to enjoy some sunshine this weekend.

Louise
