COMMUNITY SERVICE - MEALS ON WHEELS
Students from Numurkah Primary School are now participating in the Meals on Wheels Program, delivering meals to vulnerable members of Numurkah.Ā
Every Thursday, two students will help to deliver this service, getting to meet new people, showing care and compassion to others whilst participating in the volunteer program.
Well done to Angus Newham and Ace McKenzie for being our inaugural MOW deliverers. You were extremely organised and efficiently delivered all the meals to our grateful recipients.

Water Wise Competition
š§"Every Drop Counts"š§
āEvery Drop Countsā ā this was the slogan for this yearās water week competition throughout October. All students at Numurkah Primary School designed and created door hangers to enter the contest. The National Water Week reminds everyone that water must be used wisely. It also celebrates water innovation and achievements supporting Australiaās sustainable future ahead.Ā
NPS students waited patiently to see if one of our āa-door-ableā hangers was winning quality. Then, last week, the announcement came. Maddi B. was overjoyed to be the winner of her year level for this region with her beautiful garden bed design, along with her helpful catchphrase, āWater by handā, and tips on useful ways to help save water. Congratulations Maddi! This was a proud moment for our school.Ā
Poppy M. was surprised to hear that her design of a water drop falling onto the palm of her hand, with her catch cry of āSave Water, Save Lives,ā won in the Year 5-6 category for our school. In the Year Prep ā 2 category for our school, Jersey B. was thrilled that her design had won with her motif of the Earth dripping water, and the signature phrase of this yearās competition, āEvery Drop Countsā.
Even if you donāt use tank water, you can still learn on how to save water for your family. Saving water is not just a phase - you will not grow out of it! Everybody needs to hang one of Numurkah Primary Schoolās hangers on their door to remind you not to leave the tap running!
