Staffing Updates

Term 3 Appointment

In Term 3, we welcome Mrs Ally into the Lead Teacher role for Week 2-7 as our beloved Mrs Childs takes personal leave.  Mrs Ally works closely with our Green Team children and is well known to them.  Ally comes with a wealth of knowledge in education, and having most recently added an Early Childhood qualification to her already resounding resume, she is a fabulous fit for this interim role.  Mrs Frost will continue working closely with Ally as we await Mrs Child's return in Week 8.

Plans are in place for Mrs Child's and Mrs Ally to prepare for the children's learning in Term 3, so we are looking forward to seeing Ally thrive in this role.

Farewells

It is never easy to say goodbye, however it is important to release others into new realms of growth and future success.  With this at the heart of our most recent news around staffing, I share with you that Mrs Hannah and Mrs Lauren will be ending their chapters with us at Curiosity ELC.  Mrs Hannah will be finishing her time with us on June 28 and Ms Lauren on July 17.  A little farewell letter to our community from them both.

Dear Curiosity Community

As I sit down to write this letter, my heart is filled with a mix of emotions – gratitude, sadness, hopefulness, and nostalgia. I wish to share with you my departure from Curiosity as I embark on a new journey at St Columba College commencing in Term 3.

As most of you are aware, I am currently undertaking my Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) and feel the time is right for me to move into a school setting to provide further opportunities for my growth and learning. I am excited to explore education in a school capacity while I finish off my degree, however saying goodbye will be incredibly difficult. I will forever be grateful to all of you for allowing me the privilege of being able to teach your child and be part of their learning journey - the joy, curiosity and growth I have witnessed in the past year alone has been incredibly fulfilling and I will cherish the memories. The Curiosity community is a special one and your partnership and support over the past 4 years, has been both invaluable and appreciated. Thank you!

To my incredible 2024 Blue Team children. Leaving you is bringing me great sadness, but I hold onto the thought, of how lucky I am to have spent this first half of the year with you.

You have brought so much light and warmth into my life. Watching you learn and grow each day has been the greatest joy of my career. Your curiosity, enthusiasm, questioning, and boundless creativity has inspired me more than you will ever know. Always remember to keep exploring, dreaming, and believing in yourselves – the world is full of endless possibilities, and I have no doubt that you will achieve incredible things.

I wish you all continued success, happiness, and endless adventures in the years to come.

With love,

Ms Lauren

From Mrs Hannah

Dear Curiosity Families,

It is with a heavy heart that I write to inform you of my departure from Curiosity Early Learning Centre. My last day will be Friday, the 28th of June. I want to express my deepest gratitude to each and every one of you for welcoming me into your wonderful community and for allowing me to be a part of your children's lives.

Being a part of Curiosity ELC has been an honour and a privilege. I have cherished every moment spent with your children, watching them grow, learn, and thrive. Your support, trust, and kindness have made my journey here incredibly special.

Thank you for all the laughs, hugs, and the shared moments of joy. These memories will forever hold a place in my heart, and I will always look back on my time at Curiosity with fondness.

Wishing you all the very best for the future.

Warm regards,

Hannah
