Highvale Secondary College has been awarded a Bronze award from the Victorian Department of Education and Training for the successful implementation of the School Wide Positive Behaviour Support (SWPBS) framework. This award was presented to Mr Miller by Stephen Christofakakis, the School Wide Positive Behaviour Coach from the Health, Wellbeing and Engagement division of the North-East Victoria Region Department of Education during the Junior School Assembly.

The aim of the SWPBS framework is to actively educate on desired behaviours, recognise positive conduct, and highlight the College values of Respect, Responsibility, Resilience, Integrity, and Excellence. The predominant feature of the SWPBS framework is its thorough integration of school values across different dimensions of school life, including student wellbeing, teaching and learning, behaviour management and student voice.
