Year 10 Update

Time to shine

Tips and tricks for success

Examinations are not just a hurdle to jump over but an opportunity for students to showcase all the hard work they have put into their studies over Semester One. They provide a platform to demonstrate understanding and mastery of the subjects studied.

Examinations for many of the Year 10s will be a crucial step in their preparation for the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE). For others already doing a Unit 1 and 2 subject, the upcoming exams will be an opportunity to shine. Sitting examinations in Year 10 helps build confidence and hone skills for this type of assessment in the future.

To make the most of examination preparation, employing revision strategies such as summarising notes, drawing concept maps, teaching concepts to a friend or family member and creating cue cards for review are encouraged. These strategies are simple, yet highly effective.

Congratulations to the Year 10 HPA and Sport Captains for all of their hard work at this busy time. Between writing scripts, song selections, dance auditions and athletics, they have been filling their roles admirably.
