Year 9 Update

Diversity, connection, and inclusion

A fortnight ago, our Year 9 students attended a wonderful Chapel session led by our Chaplain, Mrs Juers, focusing on the themes of diversity, connection, and inclusion. The session invited students to explore the rich tapestry of our cohort. Students engaged in discussions and activities that highlighted our shared experiences and the unique qualities that everyone brings to our community. It also provided the opportunity for students to reflect on their own identities and to appreciate the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of their peers.

The Chapel session emphasised the importance of connecting through our differences, promoting a sense of unity and belonging. Mrs Juers encouraged the Year 9s to see beyond surface-level differences and to seek deeper connections with people to establish meaningful friendships. We are incredibly proud of our Year 9 cohort for their thoughtful participation and are confident that the lessons learned will be beneficial in the future.
