English Update

Year 12 English 

Year 12 English students are currently working on their ‘Writing About Play’ unit of study. In order to help them write more authentically about children’s play, they enjoyed reliving their days in primary school by joining in with Shelford’s Years 1-4. They had fun playing dress-ups, boardgames, legos and more, all under the careful guidance of Shelford’s junior students.  

Year 12 Literature 

Year 12 Literature students are currently studying Joan Lindsay’s Picnic at Hanging Rock. To help them better understand the sublime mystery of the rock in the novel, students went on an excursion to Hanging Rock where they recreated the ill-fated picnic before climbing the rock. Thankfully, no students mysteriously vanished on this excursion.
