Stories from Suburban Road
I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this such a poignant and beautiful show. Thank you to our amazing students in the cast and crew. There were 60 of us all working together to make it happen and it truly was a team effort.
Thank you Year 12 for all the contributions you have made to the vibrant life of the school during your time here. Thank you to the staff; Ms Evans, Mrs Smith, Mrs Cooney and Miss Coote. Thank you Mrs Airth, for the many hours spent sewing and making our costumes.
Thank you to Mrs Charter and Mr Burke for the hours you spent as volunteers to help bring it all together. Thank you to Laura and Natalie from the P & F and all the parents who baked or helped to provide the delicious supper. Thank you to our tech team of Mr Learned, Mr McKinnon and Mr Farmer. Thank you to our wonderful administration and maintenance staff who did everything they could to help us. It is a testament to the culture of this school that for many students (especially in year 12) this was their first show as actors onstage. People take risks when they feel safe – thank you to everyone for creating a safe space for our young people to be their authentic selves.
