Grade 5/6 News

Students in 5/6 will commence their speech for the Lion’s Junior Public Speaking Competition this week. 

This is a great opportunity for students to build their enthusiasm and self-confidence around public speaking. 

The topic this year is Who is the most influential person in your life? We are very excited to see who the students select. 

Last week was also the first round of the 2024 Interschool Sports. 

For the next few weeks students will play Netball and Football against local Wangaratta schools. 

Look out for a weekly email containing all information needed regarding the week's draw. 

Next Monday (20th May) 5/6 students will be heading to Winton Wetlands. 

This is an opportunity for students to explore land use and environmental impacts. Beginning with how the land was used by Indigenous peoples through to European settlement, damming, decommissioning and restoration.
