Stringfest

Stringfest 2024 took place on Thursday the 16th of May at McKinnon College. 

A selection of our violin students joined over 140 students from 11 schools from the South East in a day of workshopping with guest Conductor Amberley Bremner and performing 7 contrasting orchestral pieces. This is the first time our school has been represented in this long-standing annual String Orchestra.

Alex, Yukina and Chloe worked tirelessly throughout the day of intensive rehearsals in preparation for the recorded performance at the end of the day.

Students collaborated with students from other schools and developed working relationships as they developed their skills and proficiency in the pieces of music.

Under the guidance of Instrumental Music coordinator Kat Mizzi, our students represented themselves, their craft and our college with pride, expertise and joy. Thank you to our college for the support of these students in attending this amazing event.
