Job brief

We are looking for a seasonal casual retail Sales Assistant to help customers identify and purchase products they desire in our Hope costumes and Thrift Store! 

Sales Assistant duties include selling, restocking and merchandising. Through this social enterprise our goal is to raise funds for the youth programs of teen challenge Tasmania and provide a high class customer service experience. 

This position is for shifts within weekends and holidays. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service
  • Maintain outstanding store condition and visual merchandising standards
  • Maintain a fully stocked store
  • Ascertain customers’ needs and wants
  • Recommend and display items that match customer needs
  • Welcome and greet customers
  • Manage point-of-sale processes
  • Actively involve in the receiving of new shipments
  • Keep up to date with product information
  • Accurately describe product features and benefits
  • Follow all companies policies and procedures

 

Requirements and skills

 

  • Proficiency in English
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service focus
  • Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
  • Hard working and great work ethic
  • Trustworthy and honest

APM Futures

APM Futures is a Registered NDIS Provider or Employment Supports, we assist participants to achieve their employment goals and aspirations.

 

We specialise in:

  • School Leaver Employment Supports
  • Capacity Building: Finding and Keeping a Job
  • Supports in Employment

Our aim is to combine our extensive NDIS Service Delivery knowledge with our local employment services experience to deliver a unique and individually tailored service to assist participants to develop their vocational identity, building their skills and capacity for work.

We will tailor support for the participant so they can identify their chosen field, and ultimately achieve a job that will be sustainable in ongoing employment, a job they want to do, that empowers and meets their employment goals.

Our service delivery is individualised with 1:1 supports and small groups to a maximum of 1:6,  our team will develop a Program of Supports with the participant and their family/carer,  which will be reviewed every 12 weeks to ensure their goals and aspirations are on track.
