Mr Brett Gillett - Head of Gilroy House
Gilroy House had a very busy Term 3. Our boys continued to work hard at all levels and contribute to the house where possible.
Our Harold House “Like a Version’ group of Danny O’Rourke and Tom Doherty completed a remix of the 1993 Classic. “dumb” by Nirvana. After a quality recording was compromised the boys were able to improvise, adapt and overcome to create another gem. Well done regardless of our outcome.
A top 3 finish will ensure we have the points to take out the 2023 House Cup. A fourth place or less will see us placed 2nd for a 4th year in succession. The results will be announced at the final seniors assembly Good luck boys!!
We are proud to announce our 2024 Gilroy House Leadership Team.

Thank you to all the boys who participated in the process and their genuine desire to lead Gilroy House. We are also very proud to have Marley Chan and Landon Law Palm as the 2024 Boarding Captains. Well done boys.
Congratulations to James Leigh on his impressive results at the Australia Pool lifesaving championships over the holiday break.
This term we host the “Gilroy ASH DASH”. This event requires 4 boys from each house in each year level to work together to move a hay bale around a course on McMahon Oval after a 4 person run from the Glen Lyon bridge. This event will be held on Tuesday 17 October. This is always a highlight of the House Cup.
Our Ignatius Chess team is toiling hard for honors in this House Cup event. Good luck boys, play well and fair.
This term we are also fundraising for Marist Solidarity Cambodia. The LaValla Project aims to provide education for children and young people with disabilities in a country in which very few education possibilities exist through:

We will be selling raffle tickets via monitor for the next 3 weeks at the podium at breaks 1 and 2. Your support is appreciated.
Finally, we are also fundraising for the Mater Foundation Cancer Research with our annual Prawns and Hams with Foley House.
