Mensa Kids

12:30 PM-3:30 PM

Every 3rd Sunday from September 3rd

Free

Mensa Kids Monthly Library at the Docks Games Days Events (on the first Sunday of every month) are designed to give our Young Mensans a fun and engaging opportunity to connect with other kids on their level.

The Mensa Kids team facilitate a range of larger group games (like Throw Throw Burrito and One Night Ultimate Werewolf ) to help introduce the kids to each other, then once they start having fun and get comfortable we encourage them to get to know each other better with some smaller group games like chess, Uno and Jenga.

🕛 When: 12.30pm until 3:30pm (please feel free to come and go as you like between the event times and while we will be running games until 3.30pm, many Young Mensans like to stay on and hang out on the playground after)

🗺️ Where: Library at the Dock, 107 Victoria Harbour Promenade, Docklands VIC 3008 (Level 1, Activities Room)

🍎Food: We encourage everyone to have lunch prior, but we like to ensure some basic snacks are on hand to keep the kid's energy up (fruit platter, salad wraps, muesli bars and water bottles). If you are able to assist in bringing any of these along please let us know.

♟️Games: A range of favourites including Jenga, Exploding Kittens, chess, table tennis, Unstable Unicorns, Throw Throw Burrito and One Night Ultimate Werewolf are available but please feel free to bring any additional games along that the kids might enjoy

📱Contact: Any questions please drop myself (Eliza Murray) an email at vicgcc@mensa.org.au

Visual Puzzles / All Age Games for the Gifted Tuesday, 14th November 2023 TIME TBC

“Come and join us as we share our love for games, puzzles and offer some ideas that are wonderful for gifted children especially heading into holiday time! Puzzles and games provide a platform for cognitive growth by stimulating critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Children (and families) can strategize, plan, and adapt within the context of games and puzzles, while also fostering social interaction, encouraging communication, cooperation, and healthy competition when played with peers, family, or friends.”
