Stage 5 Design & Technology 

Lindt & IKEA Excursion

Earlier in the year, the Stage 5 D&T students travelled to Marsden Park to visit the Lindt factory and to IKEA. This excursion allowed the students to further their knowledge of ethical design practice and enterprise activity of both companies. They were greeted by the Director of the IKEA store, who spoke to the students about IKEA's Democratic Design principles. Students also chose and purchased a product from the store to complete part of their research task.  Students then headed over to the Lindt factory to further their knowledge and to taste appreciation for their Chocoholics unit of work. The students had a fantastic lunch at the IKEA restaurant.
