What we've been up to

Sports Day

Yesterday 18th June we held our annual sports day. The weather was a bit chilly to start but it improved as the day went on. It was so wonderful to see the sportsmanship and excitement from all our students as they participated in multiple events including vortex throw, water relay, sprints, ball games, relays, tug-a-war and long jump.

Congratulations to the following Runner-Up Age Champions for 2024: Ayaan, Jack, Christian, Naomi, Phoenix, Katie, Dylan and Jasmyn. Congratulations to the Age Champions for 2024: Jordon, Seren, Felix, Khloe, Jaxon, Lily-May, Aaron and Azaria.

Olympics Unleashed

Friday 7th June was a very exciting day for our students as Australian Olympian Alex Ferlazzo visited us to tell us all about his life and career. Alex was born and raised in Townsville and took up the sport of Luge in 2010 at the age of 15. He placed 16th in Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, 5th in World Championship in Germany 2024 and 8th in the World cup in 2024. All our staff and students really enjoyed listening to Alex talk about his journey. We wish him well in the future and thank him for coming to visit.

School Cleaners Day

Monday (17 June 2024) was School Cleaners Day. We are so proud of our cleaners, Jenny, Kandis, Maria and Teresa and we appreciate all that you do for our school. You arrive before the sun is up and we thank you for your dedication to the health and hygiene of our school.

No Entry Sign

Just a reminder that due to significant traffic congestion and in consultation with Main Roads and the Department of Transport, we installed a "No Entry" sign. This is put in place after morning drop off and is taken down just before afternoon pick up.

If you arrive to school while this sign is in place, you must park your vehicle in a carpark. Please do not block the driveway, while the sign is in place.
