Senior Secondary Courses Expo - Tuesday 4 June
On Tuesday, Year 10 students attended the GYC Subject Expo. Upon arrival we were greeted by the Principal and key teachers and were led into their auditorium to be presented with a slideshow that identified the key differences between Year 10 and Year 11/12. The slideshow provided us with information about subjects and other courses that we may want to partake in. The presentation also gave us a broader perspective of how the VET courses operate at GYC. Once the presentation was concluded we were ushered into the Subject Expo, where we had the opportunity to walk around each of the stalls. Each stall related to a learning area, giving us the opportunity to talk to the teachers about each subject, answering the questions we had. This Expo gave us a better insight towards subjects of interest and has helped us achieve a better understanding of what to study at College. The Expo was a great experience for us and we really enjoyed it.

Dates to Remember
Guilford Young College Arts and VET Festival - 12 June : 4.30pm - 6.30pm
Arts Precinct, Glenorchy Campus.
The night will showcase the various courses on offer in the Vocational Education and Training, and Arts learning areas at GYC. You can expect to see a showcase of engineering and construction projects, experience friendly hospitality from our VET students with complimentary food and refreshments.
Tours of our almost completed Trade Training Centre will be available; Drama and Music performances, an Art exhibition, pottery demonstration and short film screening.
Student Course Counselling - Friday 21 June : 9.00am - 11.30am
Every Year 10 student will attend GYC to assist with initial course (subject) one on one counselling.
