Year 6 Topic, Geography & Writing Report 

Term Two Leadership Initiative Recount

This term, the Topic, Geography & Writing Leaders have been very busy! We were tasked with preparing a full set of Geography warm-up slides for the Year 5 & 6 students. To help immerse the students in our Topic Unit, we helped Miss Shanahan organise an excursion to the Immigration Museum where we learned all about the many reasons people migrate to Australia. 

We were really excited to jump into our Term Two Novel Study, ‘A Long Walk to Water’. We helped organise all of the books in preparation for the unit. We also helped Mrs Harrison with the Victorian Premier’s Reading Challenge, My Brother Jack Awards and the Dymocks Writing Competition. It has been a very busy and fun term and we have really enjoyed it! 

As Topic and Geography leaders we were also very busy creating t-shirt designs for the most anticipated FIFA St. Joseph's World Cup Tournament! Make sure you check out the recount in the Newsletter.
