Wellbeing

Introducing our Wellbeing Captains!

Hi, I’m Sienna Reese and I am one of the wellbeing captains for 2024, I am in year 11 and I love films and design.  I wanted to apply for this role to be a friendly face that you see around the school, and be able to come and have a chat or ask any questions too, I want to be able to support you all by being a voice to pass any feedback you may have about wellbeing/support back to the Wellbeing team.

Sometimes it can be scary talking about feelings and emotions, so if not having to go there alone makes you feel better, that is why I’m here. I am hoping to work with the Wellbeing team on making more diversity days and opportunities to highlight wellbeing and its support processes at this school and additionally work with the team to create a positive environment at Wantirna College surrounding wellbeing.

Talking to your parents about your mental health struggles can be daunting and hard, and finding opportunities to can be even worse. I have found so much benefit in reaching out to the Wellbeing team and having a short chat with the team about what’s wrong and what’s happening! When chatting to your parents about your current struggles, it can be easier to approach them with more official and concise ideas, making it more simplistic and easier to understand. I look forward to hearing your ideas, feedback and supporting you all in 2024!

Hello, my name is Sage Mogyorossy, I am one of the wellbeing captains for 2024 alongside Sienna. I am a year 10, and I love drama, phycology, music and true crime. The reason I chose to be a wellbeing captain was because I wanted to be someone in the school community that people can talk too. Someone who is approachable for a laugh or a hug, or to get some guidance from. I want to be a voice for our Wantirna students, someone that can help bring ideas to light, and support students to voice their own ideas.

Wellbeing is incredibly important and no one should feel like they have to go through tough times alone. Whether you need to vent, share something that's been on your mind, or just have a friendly chat, I'm here for you without any judgment. Your well-being is my top priority, and it matters.
