Hello!

I’m M.J, I have a background in wellbeing and psychology and have worked with young people in a range of capacities. My past roles include coordinating programs at a local youth centre and coordinating Out of School Hours Care. I have previously worked in the alternative school setting with Diamond Valley Learning Centre (DVLC), helping in the classroom and in wellbeing roles. I hold a Diploma of School Aged Care and Education, a Diploma of Community Services and am in my last year of a Bachelor of Psychological Sciences.

In my spare time I enjoy watching movies and sport (footy, basketball and cricket), gaming, and camping.

I am passionate about empowering young people to break through perceived limitations, supporting them to create their best future.

I’m super excited to have joined the Plenty River College community as the new teacher for Orange Group.  I have been working in the education space for 30 years. For the past 20 years I have been teaching in specialist settings and have extensive experience teaching Applied Learning, Vocational Education and Training (VET), Sexuality and Drug Education and Social Competencies. I am committed to helping students achieve success in their learning and I am passionate about teaching students in their Senior Secondary years, providing them with the support needed to achieve their educational goals. I look forward to getting to know all of the fabulous PRC students and their families.

I'm Jodie, 

For the past 12 years I've been dedicated to supporting students as an integration aide. I recently joined PRC at the beginning of 2024. Sports are a big passion of mine, with basketball holding a special place in my heart and I'm a proud Carlton supporter - Go Blue Boys! I also love to cook, travel and spend time sitting on the beach. I have 4 kids, 1 grandchild, 2 dogs and a cat which keep me extremely busy. 

Working alongside young people and witnessing their achievements is something I find immensely rewarding.
