STEM Report
We have made it to the end of another term and what better way to celebrate some fantastic learning than with some photos.
Starting with the grade 3/4 Marble Run Challenge. Students used their understanding of friction and gravity to design an obstacle course that would take 60 seconds to complete. Much to the surprise of many, it is not as easy as you think.
Next, we have the toy cars made by our Prep students in their topic all about rolling and sliding. After investigating which shapes/objects can roll, Prep students then set about designing, creating and testing their very own toy cars. Great Job Preps!
Finally, we have some of 3D printed cars being designed by our Grade 5 students. In their topic titled, 'What's the matter?', students learnt about the properties of solids, liquids and gases. They then used their understanding to design and create toy cars using CAD software that can be powered by a CO2 gas cylinder.
