Specialist Feature News - Science
Selamat Siang semuanya,
This term in Science, our Year 3/4 students have been exploring the fascinating world of living things. They have investigated the differences between living, once-living and non-living things, the basic needs all living things share, how animals are classified into groups, and how habitats provide the right conditions for survival. Students have also examined how plants and animals develop adaptations that help them thrive in their environments. To demonstrate their understanding, each student has selected an animal to research, showcasing its classification, habitat, diet, role in the food chain, physical features, adaptations, life cycle and any other interesting facts they have discovered.
Foundation students have been busy exploring the wonderful world of living things as well, with a special focus on plants. Students planted their own grass seeds and have been carefully observing and recording changes in their personal plant journals each week. Through hands-on investigations, such as exploring what plants need to grow and comparing different growing conditions, they have been developing their understanding of how living things grow, change and respond to their environment. It has been a joy to see their excitement as their plants sprout, grow taller, and become a real-life example of the science they are learning.
