Principal Reflections

Dear Parents and Carers,
Presentation Night Celebration
I extend my sincere congratulations to everyone for the outstanding success of our recent Presentation Night. The evening was an excellent display of talent and a sense of community that defines our school.
To our students, we thought your performances and achievements were outstanding. Thank you for demonstrating skill, confidence, and a commitment to excellence. You should be very proud of yourselves.
To our staff, thank you, thank you, thank you. Your skills and effort in choreography, and support of your students, were evident in every detail of the night. You have again gone above and beyond to help our students succeed.
To our parents and carers, your encouragement and partnership are invaluable. Thank you for being an integral part of this special occasion.
Lastly, a special thank you to those who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to organise and bring the evening to life, especially Mr Millman, Mrs Sheridan and Mrs Kellett. Your dedication ensured the event was seamless and memorable.
It was a privilege to celebrate our school's achievements together. Thank you for contributing to such a wonderful evening.
Infants Welcome Garden
What a difference a day makes! A huge thank you to the team from Bunnings Community Projects who spent Wednesday at the Infants Campus bringing to life the vision of the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Team. Stage one has been completed with a native garden being installed outside the Library. Stage two will see a yarning circle painted on the ground and stage three will be completed next year with a mural being painted on the library wall. Watch this space to see further transformations.
Final Thanks
Thank you for your support and patience throughout the year. Many of you took the time to email or mention how much you appreciated all the work teachers were doing. These small acts of kindness make a huge difference and often seem to arrive when we need them the most. Thank you for sharing in and supporting your children’s learning, particularly by attending our learning conferences and information workshops. To all parents, staff and students who are leaving our school at the end of this year, may you always be safe and share happiness in your new adventures. We wish you all a lovely, restful Christmas and New Year! We look forward to connecting with you again in 2026.
To everyone associated with St Edward's School, especially our Parish Priest, Fr Roel Llave, and our support Priest, Fr Mario, and our dedicated P & F and Advisory committees, we thank you for your generous time, enthusiastic support, and continued interest in the life of the school and, in particular, the children in our care.
Until next year,
Keep Smiling,
Alison Hatton
