Are our eyes and ears ready to hear the jingle of Santa’s sleigh or see him sneak down the chimney??

As we head into the Christmas break, it’s the perfect opportunity to make sure our children’s health is in top shape for the new year.

One area that is often overlooked is eye and ear health. Clear vision and good hearing are essential for learning, concentration, and confidence in the classroom. Even small difficulties with seeing the board or hearing instructions can make a big difference to a child’s progress.

Why it matters:

  • Eyesight: Regular checks can detect issues early, such as needing glasses or managing eye strain.

  • Hearing: Ear checks can identify infections, blockages, or hearing loss that may affect speech and learning.

  • Confidence: Children who can see and hear clearly feel more engaged and ready to participate.

A holiday reminder:

The Christmas holidays are an ideal time to book routine appointments with your optometrist or audiologist. These checks are quick, painless, and can provide peace of mind for parents while giving children the best start to the school year.

Let’s make sure our students return in January with bright eyes, sharp ears, and ready to learn!
