Year 10 Work Experience – Semester 1, 2026
Welcome to the 2026 Work Experience Program. All Year 10 students are enrolled in a Careers class in either Semester 1 or Semester 2, and all students are required to complete at least one week of work experience this year.
Students participating in Careers during Semester 1 will use their classes to explore and prepare for their placement by:
• Identifying their interests and career goals• Selecting a suitable employer
• Learning how to approach employers and confirm placements
• Completing workplace agreements and OH&S requirements
• Participating in their placement and gaining valuable real-world experience
• Evaluating their work experience and reflecting on their learning
• Considering future career pathways and subject selections
Students completing Careers in Semester 1 will undertake their work experience during Term 2. Weekly classes are provided to support students through this process.
If students or families require assistance, please contact Genni Smith, Work Experience Coordinator, via SEQTA direct message or visit Genni in the Library Office.
