Principal Report
Mrs Luckman
As we near the end of the year, I ask all families to please keep a close eye on notes and updates on uEducateUs for any upcoming event announcements. Please check the important dates section and mark down when our events are occurring. We are very excited to celebrate the achievements of 2025. As we acknowledge our students, we want to recognise how thoughtful and considered the decision-making process is each year. We are incredibly fortunate to have so many children demonstrating growth, resilience and achievement, which makes selecting individual award recipients genuinely challenging. This reflects our school values of Be Kind, Work Hard and Grow Together, as our students continually show care for others, put in their best effort and support one another’s learning. It is a wonderful reflection of the effort, progress and strengths of all our students, and we feel proud to be in such a positive position as a school community.
Swimming begins on MONDAat IPS. We aim to run at least eight lessons at the IPS swimming pool during the afternoons. If you are available to help this year, please see Rebecca as soon as possible. Additional helpers allow us to create smaller groups, supporting safety and skill development.
Swimming is a vital life skill that builds confidence, supports physical development, and helps ensure children are safe around water.
Please note that on Thursday, 4th December, we will be travelling to Funfields. We will be leaving school at 8.00 am sharp and returning at approximately 6.00 pm.
Students will need:
Please ensure you have accepted the permission form on uEducateUs. This special end-of-year celebration is only possible due to the generosity of our wonderful Parents and Friends fundraising committee. We sincerely thank them for supporting this opportunity.
We are very excited to offer four weeks of cooking lessons, starting on Monday, 2 March. In these sessions, families will cook their own dinner together and then receive a $55 food hamper to take home each week.
Numbers are limited, so please send through your expressions of interest as soon as possible.
A huge thank you to Foodbank for providing our families with this unique opportunity.
We are thrilled to announce that we have officially received approval and our service number to begin operating OSHC as a school-council-run model. Information packs will be available for all families, and we will support our current OSHC users in transitioning over. This model will begin operating from Day One, Term One.
Using OSHC, even one day a week, helps us continue to provide this service. Consistent use ensures the program remains sustainable and supports families by offering safe, reliable, and school-based care. So reach out to see how you can sign your children up!
It is with great excitement that I can announce our Year 3–6 students will be joining Bridgewater Primary School for annual camps starting in 2026. I met with our Year 3–6 students to gather their thoughts, and they unanimously agreed they would love to join with Bridgewater.
Working together as a community creates richer experiences for students, strengthens friendships, and builds connection benefits that extend far beyond the camp itself.
