Principal Report

Dear families,
It has been a busy two weeks at school and I am sure I speak for all staff when I say everyone is pooped! I am sure you are seeing that at home too. What has impressed me is the student behaviour over the last two weeks. There has been lots of change, lots of firsts and lots of energetic days, however the students have handled it really well.
The students performed at the Christmas Carols so well, giving their best efforts. Their artwork was also very impressive. Some of it we have kept and displayed here in school.
A first in my time here was the introduction of an activities week for all students. This has happened due to us resting our camps in 2025. Next year we will move back to the Grade 5/6 cohort having a fun day. The locations have worked well, and students have been sharing how much fun Luna Park and Rainbow Town were for them. The three incursions have been well received. I would like to thank Emily Murcott for organising the week for students and staff. A thank you to the staff that have attended and enjoyed joining in. Thank you to the office team and Jenine for organsing the events and payments.
Another first was the Student Leaders Day. Last newsletter we shared who the new school leaders are for 2026. They have since participated in a training day and have come up with some great ideas for students voice next year. We had better start saving some $.
There will be one smaller newsletter in the last week where we will wish you a happy holidays, for this one I would just like to share our thanks for what you do as parents and carers all year round. The job you do in raising great children helps us easily educate them each day. You are appreciated.
Next week we are looking forward to graduation and celebrating the last week of school for our Grade 6 students.
