Junior School

Year 1
What an amazing year we have shared together in Year 1! As we look back, we are filled with gratitude for the incredible growth, joy, and memories we have experienced as a class. We have seen so much growth from our students - from their academic achievements to the many changing smiles as countless teeth have fallen out!
Our excursions to Cudgee Wildlife Park and the Cobden Miniature Railway were definite highlights, giving us the chance to explore God’s creation and enjoy the wonder of learning beyond the classroom. We also enjoyed participating in swimming lessons and cheering one another on during our sports carnivals, encouraging teamwork, perseverance, and fun.
Inside the classroom, the children have poured creativity into their artworks, grown in confidence and fluency as readers, learned to write letters with greater detail and care, and strengthened their skills in counting, problem-solving, and speedy maths. Throughout the year, we have delighted in learning many stories from the Bible, discovering God’s love, faithfulness, and the hope we have in Jesus. It has been a joy to watch the children deepen their understanding and to see their enthusiasm as we opened God’s Word together.
We are truly thankful for each child we have had the privilege to teach this year. Their curiosity, kindness, and determination have blessed our classroom daily. We are equally grateful for the partnership and support of our wonderful parents - thank you for walking this journey with us.
As we come to the end of the year, we wish you all a joyful, peaceful Christmas, filled with rest, celebration, and precious time together as you reflect on the birth of our risen Saviour. May God bless your families richly over the holiday break, and we look forward to the adventures that await in the year ahead.

Year 3
Year 3 have had a fantastic finish to the year! We have grabbed our passports and we have been travelling around the world, investigating what other countries do to celebrate Christmas. It’s been a fascinating journey and we have visited the USA, Canada, England, France, Germany, Sweden, Italy and China before flying back to Australia in time for our own Christmas!
We also did a Secret Santa Book Exchange, where the children were given a classmate to buy a book for as a surprise gift. The children had to consider carefully what their classmate might like a book about and it was such a thoughtful and great experience for us all - remembering and experiencing that the act of thoughtful giving is a wonderful thing to do.
Here are the highlights of our year from the Year 3 children themselves (click images to enlarge):
We have had a wonderful year together and I have thoroughly enjoyed the privilege of getting to know each and every one of these beautiful children! I wish all of the children and their families all the very best for a lovely Christmas and summer break and look forward to seeing them shine even more brightly in Year 4!
