It is that time of year when teachers are using their observations, assessments and data to write student reports. Over the year, teachers have continued to collect evidence of students' Literacy and Numeracy skills. Over the past few weeks, they have also assessed students in these areas to track how they have grown and set goals for students to focus on next year.
To ensure the consistency of data, teachers use continuums of skills, assessment tools and standardised tests. The achievement dots in our written reports will reflect the evidence collected and inform families about each child’s progress.
As with previous reports, you will be receiving your child’s 2025 semester two report via the nForma Parent Portal. The portal can be accessed via computer or app on a phone or tablet. Please ensure that we have your correct email address in our system and that you can log on to the nForma platform. If you are having any issues please call our office and we can support you to log in.
The nForma platform will be replacing our Operoo system in 2026, so it is crucial that all parents have a login and can gain access to the platform. Instructions on how to download the App and access the nForma Parent Portal will be shared in your Orientation day packs next week. Your child's semester two report will be made available on the portal by Monday, Dec15th .
There are no formal parent-teacher interviews this semester however, if you would like to discuss your child's learning and goals for 2026. please contact their classroom teacher to arrange a time to meet.

We are getting closer to the end of the year and soon our students will be taking part in transition to their 2026 classes. This will include a statewide orientation day where students will meet their new teacher and classmates.
On Tuesday, December 9th our students will come together and engage in team building and learning activities to prepare them for their new 2026 classes.
When forming classes, the school goes through a rigorous process to ensure we can create the best learning environment for all of our students. This begins with teachers asking all of our students to identify different people they would like in their class in 2026 to ensure each child feels connected within the class. Teachers and leaders then discuss the connections and possible combinations and place them into the classroom structures.
Some Year 6 students heading to secondary college will also be attending their 2026 school on this day. To support their transition, our 5/6 teachers have met with transition officers from each secondary school and discussed each student's transition to Year 7.
The change of class and teacher can sometimes be overwhelming for students during orientation and they may need additional support on the day. If you have any concerns please email Gab Espenschied at principal@sjcribpoint.catholic.edu.au.
