Dear Parents,
Students participated in our annual swimming program at Crib Point Pool in the last fortnight. What a wonderful asset we have in our backyard!
Swimming and water safety activities are essential particularly with where we live on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula with children learning fundamental swimming skills along with important water safety skills. Students will then travel to Point Leo for beach safety days ensuring we have a comprehensive swimming and water safety program for all of our students. All parents are welcome at the Beach days.
We had our final café for 2025 last Friday. What an amazing program our Year 6 students participate in! The confidence our students show, the resilience they demonstrate as they adapt and change to each situation they are faced with and the positivity that is evident from students, staff, parents and community members is something we are really proud of.
The Year 6 café is a living example of the Literacy, Maths, Science and other learning the Year 6 students are involved in along with the way they live out their STEM theme of Being of Service to others.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank Rick Stubbins and Ashleigh Gledhill for their excellent leadership in the Café. I would also like to congratulate Bonnie and Drew on being wonderful Café leaders throughout 2025 and to all of our Year 6 students.
Our Café will continue on in 2026 and we look forward to a great year with our next Year 6 cohort.
Last Friday our Social Justice and Mini Vinnies team went to St Mary’s hall and worked with our Parish schools and St Vincent De Paul to make up Christmas hampers. What a wonderful example of our Faith in action. A huge thank you to Kerry Colliver for leading the students and to all families who donated goods for the hampers.

Below is a letter from the President of St Vincent De Paul
I am writing on behalf of Westernport Conference to congratulate you, your staff members, your Mini Vinnies team members, your students and their families for the wonderful job they have all done in supplying a wide range of Christmas goods for the benefit of our needy families in the Westernport area.
On Friday the Mini Vinnies teams, along with staff members from our three Parish Primary Schools, consolidated all the donations in the Parish Centre in Hastings and assisted with the packing of 75 hampers for our St. Vincent de Paul team to distribute before Christmas. A magnificent result by all involved and is sure to add extra joy at Christmas to those families that receive a hamper.
Please would you convey our heartfelt thanks to all staff, students and families who supported this wonderful project.
Thanks again and kind regards,
Bill Grant

Our big Christmas event is on this Friday 5th December so come along and enjoy a fun, family night. Please support the event and come along to celebrate our wonderful community.

On Tuesday 9th December is our official orientation day all students in the school will attend a session with their new teacher for 2026. This provides an opportunity for students to be prepared for the following school year.
On this day you will receive an envelope with all of the necessary information pertaining to the 2026 school year. This will also be sent home via nForma once we have transitioned across from Operoo.
You will also be invited to book in for an individual session with your child’s teacher at the commencement of the 2026 school year. This information will be provided in the information pack.
I have provided important information pertaining to dates for both the end of term and the commencement of the 2026 school year.
Finally, Father Shymon invites all of our families to attend the Christmas Mass at 5pm on Christmas Eve in Hastings.
Yours in Partnership,
Gab
