A strong start to 2024

Year 10 – An Important Year Ahead

Year 10 students have made a fantastic start to the year, knowing this will be a year of important decisions about their post-Year 10 pathway. As always, their Year Advisers Ms Preston and Ms Fox will be there to guide them, with the additional support of the Transition Team, Head Teachers Wellbeing and all Head Teachers and class teachers.

Most students in Year 10 intend continuing their learning into Year 11 in 2025, while some students have already been undertaking some work experience to see if employment is their pathway for next year. The focus of all students in Year 10 at the moment is to achieve the best possible grades for their Record of School Achievement.

UNSW Civil and Environmental Work Experience Program

Year 10 students Daniel Silmi and Coen Frendo have successfully applied to participate in the UNSW Civil and Environmental Work Experience Program in May this year. These students, if accepted into the program, will have the opportunity to gain first-hand experience with engineering projects across six areas of the civil and environmental engineering fields and daily field trips are led by UNSW staff and supported by engineering professionals.

Support Unit Welcomes 16 New Students in 2024

Sixteen new students in Year 7 have joined the Support Unit this year and have been welcomed by the Head Teacher, Mrs Ford, and all the staff and students across all year groups. The addition of an extra class has meant there are many new friends to learn with and the new Year 7 students have made a great start to high school.

Welcome to the new students and their families. We are looking forward to a great year of learning!
