What's Been Happening?

Year 1 Measuring Maniacs!

Grade 3 News…Gong Xi Fa Cai!

On Friday 9th February, Grade 3’s were treated to a visit from Ezra’s Dad, Nick Yap, to learn about the celebrations for the New Lunar Year. We found out that this celebration has many similarities to the way in which we celebrate Christmas: it is a joyous celebration with family, there is special food and decorations and children receive money in red envelopes instead of gifts. We learned about the different animals in the Chinese Zodiac and that 2024 is the Year of the Dragon. We finished our lesson by making red lanterns with dragons or blossoms on them. We said a big “thank you” to Nick for coming in.
