CSPS Parents' Association News

Jessica Tuszynski

Hi Parents and welcome to 2024 at CSPS!

Last year we had a record number of events and fundraisers for our children and school. We raised $51,000 (the final figure!) for the school, which was used to purchase STEM resources, literacy resources, sporting equipment, document cameras and whiteboard units. This year we have an opportunity to raise more funds which will contribute to the improvement of the school playgrounds as part of the upcoming building plans. In 2024 we hope to have more people involved in the organisation and running of PA events, and to build on the success of last year. Please join us in making our school the best it can be!

Come along to our PA AGM!

At the beginning of each calendar year the PA runs an Annual General Meeting (AGM) to nominate and vote in the PA team for the current school year. This includes assigning volunteers to the organisation of the events listed on the calendar. Roles filled at the AGM will be in place until the AGM of the following school year. I would like to invite you all to the PA AGM on Wednesday 21 Feb at 7:45pm in the School Hall

It’s a great opportunity to get involved in the school and meet other parents, carers, staff and students. This year we have more ways to get involved, in varying capacities, with a number of roles that can be done at home in your own time. Please see below a list of roles which will be recruited at the PA AGM.

2024 CSPS Welcome Picnic

We would like to invite you all to the CSPS Welcome twilight picnic for 2024! This is a great opportunity to let the kids have a play and get to know other parents. This event is not a fundraiser, but rather a 'friend-raiser' so it's less about selling food and more about building a community. Bring your food & drinks and a picnic rug and come down!

PA Calendar of Events 2024

Please see attached calendar of events for this year. We hope that providing this early in the year will ensure you have plenty of time to diarize events with busy schedules, and hopefully you will be able to help with the running of these events. The more help we have, the less we all do!

CSPS Volunteers WhatsApp Group

We have an active WhatsApp group called the CSPS Volunteers which is where we call for volunteers for events, ask for advice or feedback or share information about the PA. This is the first point-of-call for volunteers for events such as the Disco & Colour Run, so if you want to be involved, please join via the QR code below.

We look forward to seeing some new and familiar faces at the PA AGM and throughout the year at our PA run events!

Regards,

Jess Tuszynski
