BOOK OF THE WEEK

The following books were recently featured in our Book of the Week display:

The Grimmelings by Rachael King

Spellbinding middle-grade fantasy adventure of loyalty, courage, and being careful what you wish for . . .

The same evening Josh Underhill went missing, the black horse appeared on the hill above the house. Thirteen-year-old Ella knows that words are powerful. So she should have known better than to utter a wish and a curse on the same day, even in jest.

Those Girls by Pamela Rushby

New from award-winning historical novelist, Pamela Rushby, exploring the roles, and struggles, of women in wartime. Those Girls paints an indelible picture of the lives of some women in the Queensland Land Army…for readers aged 14+ who have enjoyed Katrina Nannestad’s and Jackie French’s novels.

Just recently we have expanded to provide online access to The Australian and the Herald Sun as well as other metropolitan and regional newspapers. Students can browse articles or read the digital replica (Today’s Paper)

  • The Age (available on and off campus)
