CALL FOR SPORTS UNIFORMS TO BE RETURNED

If your child has borrowed any sports uniforms from the school (e.g. basketball singlet, football jumper, cross country & athletics singlet, swimming cap etc), for Interschool Sport or any other sports day, could they please be returned to the office ASAP.

Massive congratulations to our very own Heidi K (5SM), who secured the title of 1500m School Sport Australia National Champion for the second consecutive year, clocking an impressive time of 4:43.1. Adding to her remarkable achievements, Heidi also clinched a commendable 5th place in the 800m Final, setting a new personal best of 2:23.1 during the Preliminary Heats. Outstanding performance, Heidi!

You continue to leave us in awe 💪🏼!

COMMUNITY SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS

Congratulations to Poppy F (5SM) on a remarkable netball season! She not only received the Most Improved Defensive Player Award for her outstanding performance with the Nillumbik U11 Rep Netball team, but also earned the title of Most Improved Player for her contributions to the Eltham U11 Division 1 team.

Well done, Poppy! 💪🏼

If your child achieves something special (grand final win, most valuable player award, best and fairest etc.), please email me (jordan.daley@education.vic.gov.au) through photos and an overview of the achievement to post in Contact. It is important to celebrate and recognise such successes with the school community.

Thank you,

Jordan Daley

The Greenhills JSC Mini Fair

On Friday 24th November, we had our very first mini fair at Greenhills- and based on the huge smiles and excited faces, what a wonderful success it was!

On the day, there were so many stalls, including wet sponge throw, cake stalls, Earn and Learn stalls, lucky jars, the longest kick competition, loads of novelties for sale, fairy floss, games arcade, popcorn, ring toss, donut on a string- and SO MUCH more! It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, demonstrating what a lovely Greenhills community spirit we really do have!

We would like to thank all families for your support before and on the day- this fair could NOT have happened without your help! Please know how much your efforts, donations and support were appreciated, what a HUGE team effort!

Also, a big shout out to our JSC reps, for all your great work advertising and helping organise the fair. You all continue to amaze me with your fabulous ideas, suggestions, and confidence. What an awesome bunch of future leaders we have in our school!

Thanks again- here’s to the next Greenhills mini fair and all the excitement it will bring!

PET FOOD DONATIONS NEEDED

Please help Isaac (4TW) to collect Cat and Dog food, Kitty litter and Puppy Pads for Forever Friends, which is an animal rescue charity where cats and dogs stay with foster families until they can be placed in their forever homes. Isaac is collecting donations to support this organisation during the busy Christmas period. Please place donations in the box in the office before the 6th of December. Any brands and size will do. The collection will help Isaac to earn his 'Making the world a better place' badge for Cubs. I'm sure these furry friends and their foster families will really appreciate your generosity.

Thank you,

Isaac and Donna.

The Cabinet of Curiosities is back for Term 4

Now the days are warming up and we are starting to spend more time outdoors.  Why not look for something that interests you or sparks your curiosity to add to our growing mini natural history museum located in the office area.

Ensure you check with a grown up before you pick something up to make sure it is safe.  It doesn’t have to be an item - it could be something you have drawn or taken a picture of.  Please don’t remove any critters from their habitat for this project.

If you have something you would like to add, collect a specimen card from the office to fill out to present with your item.

* No valuable items please *

* Have fun and enjoy the sunshine*

Thankyou,

Victoria Harris.
